I run a social media agency in Toronto and have been growing audiences on social since the early days. Business person, creative, artist, tinkerer.
Juniper Island is the agency: we grow accounts for brands and the people behind them, strategy through posting, with Nina Gilmour running production and operations. I'm in every post.
Currently: Running Juniper Island. On the side, building small tools for filmmakers and giving them away. A short film in post.
Previously: Won a Gemini at MTV for Best Talk Series. Spent years at Red Bull Music Academy documenting music culture worldwide. Produced viral fan films (5M+ views). Created audio installations for Nuit Blanche. Interviewed everyone from Erykah Badu to John Carpenter during 4 years hosting MTV Movie Night.
The work is about removing friction between idea and execution. Whether that's extracting stills without opening Premiere, transferring footage without a Hedge subscription, or making a commercial that people actually want to watch.
Started at CBC Radio in high school. Studied film at TMU (formerly Ryerson). Learned the rest by doing.
Based in Toronto. Sony FX6 in the closet. Keyboard always warm.
